Swiss Slave Children

Rarely am I shocked

Swiss kids from poor families taken by the local authorities and made to work on farms and in houses. Often the mothers would have to pay the farms for looking after her kids.

That report says that up to 30,000 children were being used in this way and that the practice carried on into the 1970s.

I read this and was staggered, they even confronted one Farmer and his wife and they denied it all, even faced with a letter they'd forced a child to write telling his Mother she was useless and worthless they carried on denying it. For a so called advanced nation, they're in some very serious denial about child abuse.

Thought it was common knowledge??

Anyone think the WWII evacuees got off lightly?? Me Dad did well, but I've heard the stories.

I knew that some UK evacuees had a hard time whilst others didn't, never come across a systemic case of social engineering on the scale and duration of that though.
