Helsinki
As mentioned in another thread, I'm off to Finland on Friday for a couple of days with some mates for a beer or two.
I've never been before, hence the choice of destination. Not much planned but we are hoping to watch an ice hockey game on the Saturday.
If anyone's been before and has any tips or places to recommend then fire away

I always find lonely planet guides very useful. Just bought the New York one as going over there in a few weeks.

Re: Helsinki
Yeah, it is. I'm going to get fit young Finnish birds to ply me booze they're paying for so they can have their way with me.
That's the plan.
Or I might come back skint.

Maybe you'll get better luck with the Finnish hotties in the dark Kwacky, or you'll chew your own arm off to get away from a Halloween special in the morning......

Have a good weekend mate.. We'll be thinking of you with the unseasonal warmness that seems to have arrived today....

Re: Helsinki
I have a mate who used to be a US Marine....he did embassy detail.....the way they work it, there's a long wait for a good posting.....BUT.....if you do a year in a sh*thole like Moscow, then you get bumped to the top of the list....he reckoned Finland was the number 1 choice....judging by some of his stories, I'd have to agree.
