We are in a golden age of bike development. The pace at which technology is being implemented and then evolved / refined is mind blowing and difficult to keep up with.

VVT has been around a fair while though, I recall the old MGF's being fitted with it years back, but if Ducati have found a new wrinkle to use I'm interested in what they've found and how it works. I'm always interested in new engine technology, and yes I know that's a bit sad.

Looks like the advance/retard of the cams will be controlled by engine oil pressure, probably via a variable Solenoid located somewhere on the engine. It's a good system, I've worked with something similar for the last 15yrs and it's proved extremely reliable, fingers crossed the Ducati part is as good.
