The ones doing the killing are evil whether they are Israelis or Palestinians.

They both want to wipe the other off the face of the earth.

No idea if it's my age and i have seen so much of this tit for tat killing in my life but i have got to the point where I don't listen to their arguments anymore.

Killings innocents who are not armed and not directly part of any struggle is wrong and should be considered a war crime whoever is doing it.

Agree with Simon i'm afraid. Too much trouble in the world...tit for tat killings (murders) .

It will always go on in that part of the world, always has since time immemorial. Best way is to let them wipe themselves out and be done with it.

Sick to death of it all truth be told...

Nicely worded.

Sadly the news in the US is so one sided it won't get any air time.

A couple of the main channels were only giving the number of Israeli dead. No mention of those killed in Gaza.

Sorry Perkles, I've got to disagree with you there.:

They are not blinkered. They can see, just as clearly as we can what is happening.

IMHO it's that they are simply bigoted, and couldn't care about anything other than their own interests.

We should give Iran the bomb, that would sort it out! And it would stop everyone fighting over the oil for a few thousand years.

Obviously said in jest, I'm a pacifist.

On a serious note there is no excuse for what Israel is doing at the moment. Vile race of people which is a very sweeping statement but I've met quite a few of them on my travels. Probably well over a hundred while travelling through India and Nepal, and the vast majority were rude, disrespectful, obnoxious w@nkers.

I watched one guy in a cafe that obviously wasn't keen on the food he'd been served clicking his fingers and shouting "Oi you come here" at the waiter. When the waiter went over he grinned at him said nothing and just dropped the plate of food at his feet and walked out of the cafe.

We did meet one very nice Israeli couple and spent a week rafting and camping with them. She was the Granddaughter of Uziel Gal the guy who designed the UZI and he was a journalist that had pissed the Mossad off so they'd ran off to India to hide or a bit.

They were both really loverly people but utterly ashamed of their people.

There are millions of Jews who oppose Isreal. Most true Jews believe that they are the tribe of earth and that they don't need a homeland. There have been lots of demonstrations in the US by Jewish people against the actions of Israel.

You knnow it's f*cked up when you read accounts of parents taking their kids to watch Gaza being bombed and they're all cheering. Im pretty certain a german political party did that sort of indoctrination to their kids back in the 20s and 30s.

Ironic isn't it? They of all people should be better than that.

One of the things that Hagar told me that stuck in my mind was that she thought that the modern Israeli attitude is born from the way this generation was raised by the previous holocaust survivors. She seemed to think it led to a generation of spoilt brats with chips on their shoulders, which is understandable.

Isn't this all just politicians again trying to divide and bring a new generation up to hate with their own indoctrination?

The only UK TV we have had this week has been Sky News and BBC News and the channels just go over and over the same stuff endlessly and pointlessly. Its no wonder the world is in such a bad state.

Much of Crete, where we have been all week, is now owned by Russian money including many of the best hotels but the local populace see the mess they are in as the Germans fault and we were even told that they see their current situation as akin to an economic invasion by Germany since they failed by war 70 odd years ago.

Most ordinary people just want to get on with their own personal lives but whilst politicians the world over want to divide and conquer that will never be allowed to happen.

This could be fun. Israel has shelled parts of Syria.

Kind of ironic when you think that the Golan Heights are really part of Syria
