I don't think Cornish keeps bikes for 3 months from the buying to the selling.

£25 was the budget for the build cost not the resale value If people think the cost to the manufacturer for a complete bike is the sum of the parts then bike prices will rise exponentially overnight an a brand new Blade will be at least £60,000

In fact they were £700 retail when I bought mine but Honda have increased the price too £1240.31 RRP

I m more than happy to sell you my rear shock mate as IMO by 9000 miles the damping will have degraded for reasons previously mentioned. The degrading is gradual and very slight over a prelonged period of time so most people never actually notice the decrease in damping but if you rode your bike next to a brand new bike of identical spec you would notice a difference I m sure.

If you want more performance from the rear shock and budget allows I would upgrade to an after market custom built shock. If budget is tight a popular mod is to fit the Showa Balance-Free Rear Shock of a 2012-14 bike which is Showa's version of Ohlin's Twin Tube Technology (TTX). If budget is none exsistent buy the 09 nearly newshock of me for £25 it will return the bike to as new condition, but in 9000 miles you will be back where you started.

Best thing I can say is have a ride around and get used to the bike. If there is no problem at the rear leave it as it is. If your not happy and want to try a cheap and easy improvement to restore to brand new specification / ride quality drop me a PM and my rear shock is yours mate.

Budget is nonexistent so I'll PM you buddy.

Defo felt the forks need a going over too with the set up too as damping was well bad (although I had only just done the suspension on 848 to firm).

I'll ride it around for a while and then fit the shock to access the difference.
