Speedo reading incorrect

My D600 speedo has always shown a lot higher than the actual speed I am travelling at. I read somewhere that early D600's had 16 teeth front sprockets and Triumph offered to change them to 15 teeth FOC. As far as I know Triumph refused to correct the speedos also. I think that could be the problem with my speedo being out.

Is it possible to correct this and also the mileage will be showing a lot higher than it should I would imagine also.

Yep, the change in sprockets will cause it to read higher. And your mileage will be higher as a result.

What year bike is it?

You can change the sprockets or consider a speedo healer http://www.bikersdiscountstore.co.uk/sp ... -pl-19.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or something similar

Agreed. Tuneecu allows you to correct it based on a ratio.

Correct it from now or correct it to what it should read?

No chance, I'm afraid. You are stuck with it.

What's the present mileage? On an 03 bike I wouldn't have thought mileage would be that big an issue if you're thinking about resale.
