Ordered a Haynes Manual, a 10 peiece T Bar Allen Key set and also 4 new magnetic work dishes. Really want a new socket set and wrench as usually use my dad's beefy set but its old and looks nasty but to be fair good quality stuff don't break and he certainly has good Quality bits just want a set for myself I think haha! But when you look and see the price of good stuff it does make me think ill stick to my dad's stuff as he's paid out and it's lasted 20 + years hahaha!

Money invested in quality tools is money well invested Rossgo.

You can never have too many tools.

Rossgo take a look at Teng, Facom, Gedore or Beta, they are all half way decent tools.

A lot of halfords socket sets are on half price. Their Advanced lifetime guaranteed kits are brilliant.

Halfords are great tools but one thing that is worth the money is a wobble head ratchet, my snap-on one is 18 years old now and still works like day 1 and has had some abuse over the years.

Sometimes you can't swing the ratchet at 90° to the nut/bolt and this makes it easy.

I have had my Halfords lifetime set for over 20 years and its as good as new. No a single issue and its had plenty of use.

Nah, nothing that exciting. Potential corrosion on the parking brake mechanism that could lead to a failure.

Halfords Advanced 200 piece socket and ratchet set in black. Too much for me to use really but i wanted all situations covered! Plus at that price there was no point in saving a few quid may as well get the full lot

Oh to have Internet fast enough for that to be a factor!! My modem link is 100 mbps and the best adsl 2 connection I get is 13-15 mbps. Australia is still in the dark ages.

The choice of black finish may also help you avoid them being "mistaken" as belonging to someone else.

Fwiw I would strongly suggest that one of the first things you do to your set, is to clearly mark the "Lid" on the opening face. -Whilst I realise you're not an incompetent old fool like me, and would therefore not frequently open it upside down, it will nontheless make it quicker & easier for you to always place it "lid up" prior to opening it.
Some paint, or even Duct-Tape will take far less time to apply than scrabbling round looking for dozens of 1/4 drive sockets that have rolled for improbable distances in all directions. Let alone the mind numbing task of replacing them all in their correct order.

Ive just switched to fibre broadband and get 100 mbps minimum, it was 109 over wifi lastnight
