A show I rarely watch called "American Pickers" which are a couple of guys trying to find antiques. It caught my eye as I was flipping through because they were showing a motorcycle. Turns out, the whole episode 'Escape to Motor Mountain' is dedicated to one guy's collection of BSA's, Norton's, and Triumphs. Pretty awesome, actually...

Shuddup Mike!!.....I frickin' LOVE antiques!! I'm the one guy watching "The Antiques Roadshow" who knows what the guy is on about when he says "Ahhh yes....a Robert Alton piece from 1930 or so...the finistal with broken pediment is the giveaway"

But then again, you prolly know stacks of stuff about weapons & firearms....a gun is just a gun to me....unless it's a 1911, that one I can recognize.
Reminds me.....I have a firearm of sorts......it's a beautifully crafted ZIL air-pistol from Czechoslovakia made in about 1960 or so.....you'll laugh, but it's only a 1.77mm caliber. But it's incredibly powerful for a weapon of that type, and very accurate....it has a crack in the handle I need to get fixed (when you're 12, and playing James Bond on the stairs, etc.)

It's totally off-topic mate, but would be nice to have a thread about some of your firearms.

I watched a show about a family in Texas who are effectively fugitives. Only one of the family members is wanted by the police but the entire clan have holed themselves up in a farm. They're off the grid with no electricity, TV or internet.

http://www.channel4.com/info/press/news ... -family-wt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

All of them have guns and knives strapped to themselves. There are rifles and submachine guns scattered about the house.

The local police can't be bothered to tackle him. The DA pointed out that the 14 years they've spent in exile is longer than any prison sentence he could have received. They're there because the father refused to hand over his guns as part of a bail condition. "Without guns you're nothing or nobody" is his reasoning.

It's worth a watch. The grandmother doesn't want any of the kids going to school because the school will teach them how to become homosexuals.

Hmmmm....different culture I guess....no-one ever complains about the kid in Zaire touting an AK47....but then no-one cares either??

Just another black kid who'll be dead in a year....no matter.....the biggest arms suppliers in the world happen to be the 5 permanent heads of the UN Security Council....again, no matter.

Mrs Nutz was out last night, so the horror / thriller films where back on the sky box again..

The last film was "The Conjuring", really enjoyed it. A little bit cheesy but still a good horror flick all the same.

I've been watching The Blacklist on my train commute into work.

Not bad, a bit cheesy and predictable at some points but pretty easy viewing

LOL!!

It was OK I guess.....I like WWI stuff cos there's not much of it.....kinda the forgotten war, for wont of a better term. That one was mired in a bit too many dramatic clichés for my tastes. But war movies run the gamut.....I thought 'Saving Private Ryan' was excellent....I thought 'Pearl Harbor' was appalling.

But I'm also a continuity freak....down to the OCD I reckon.....the Japanese planes were white, not green......bullets do not fly through the water like in SPR and kill people....they stop after about 24-36in.

R2D2 either has 3 legs or 2.....George, could you please make up your fecking mind??....it's only been 40 years mate??

No kidding??

But look at it...when R2 gets shot by the little Bratties, he has 3 legs....the next frame
he only has 2....retractable is one thing, fecking just disappearing is sommit else??

We've all seen the stormtrooper smash his head, so I'll let that one go....but why are there 4 rifles in the gun rack, and a moment later only 3??

It's good? I'm waiting for season 4 to finish and then I'll bring it out on the iPad and watch it all in a swing at work.
