No such thing as a statutory ban. 30+ over the speed limit is when they start looking at banning you but it depends on the circumstances.

What he's told me is that he'll either get 6 points or a 56 day ban.

Whichever one they go for comes with an unlimited fine.

Which I would imagine will be somewhere north of £600 at the very least, based on my totally unfounded guesstimate!

From personal experience the fine is proportional to your income which you have to declare.

I was doing around 90 on a dual carriage way,he asked me what speed i was doing but i wouldnt answer.Thats when it got interesting and he threw me into the back of the police car and did a check on me and my car.He said I was doing 96 and would lose my licence as a result.I still wouldnt comment which really annoyed him but he was being overly aggressive and trying to scare me into saying something I would regret.I ended up getting 3 points lmao @-_-@
