Well, I left it too late to get a cheap disc lock.

And my Internet banking is playing up so I guess I'll be paying on the day.

I'll be there one of Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Lots of exciting new bikes and updates of existing ones. Should be a good show.

I fancy looking at the new Speed triple 1160, Pani V2, Fireblade, Thruxton RS, RS660 to name but a few. May have just inadvertently created my dream garage there (lol)

Plenty of impressive new kit out this year and good to see manufacturers arent just chasing power and pushing out new models but revising existing bikes. I see BMW have chopped a whopping 10kg from the XR and Triumph havent hug around either, with 6kg lost from the Thruxton. Hopefully the Blade has stayed true to its roots and gone for less weight over power and will be good to see if Triumph have lobbed some kilos of the new 1160 Speed Triple.

Should be a good show.

Not sure the new Speed Triple is due until 2021.

Triumph are announcing the Tiger 900 on 3 December which seems a bit strange. I assume that isnt at the NEC either.

(lol) I was hoping you could tell me!

Only because I'm a lazy sod and haven't worked anything out yet!

It'll take me about an hour by train, depending on changes. I've no problem with an early start, it all depends what everyone else wants to do.

Although it doesn't open until 10 on a weekday, according to the website.
My trains arrive at about quarter past the hour.

So I ended up there today because the Wife had planned this a week back for my mates to baby sit me for the day!

Excellent day out, many many new bikes to oggle at and enjoy sitting on.

Ducati staff were pompus pricks, MV a little better. All the japanese staff were great but the bloke guarding the RCV213 was well up his own ass.

By far my favourite stand was the MV stand... so bloody beautiful and mad!! Favourite bike was the R1M and most dissappointing was the RSV4. If you try to hang off the fuel tank digs deep into your thigh and is genuinely painful. Otherwise it's ergonomically perfect for me!

How people call the BMW comfortable is beyond me... the seat is so low and the pegs so high I got cramp sitting on it

By any chance did they squeeze between you and the bike you're about to swing your leg over with absolutely no reason or need to do so and then glare at you like you just threatened to punch their throat out loud rather than in your mind?
