If your worried about the handling just check it's all back on stock suspension settings and tyres are correct pressure as a good starting point. We can have a good play when we go out for a ride if you want.

Apart from the fact it's a kwak, and it's green, and it's upside down......

I would seriously consider getting shot of the Bridgestones? and getting some proper tyres on it. I have never felt the front is right on Bridgestones.

I've got two sets of BSB take offs in the garage that will be going on when the temperature hits double figures

These are quite stiff on the road, you need to hustle them but they're responsive

Looks fab. Didn't realise you have been without a bike for 2 years Monty! 60 miles I'd pretty impressive for someone who hasn't ridden for a while on a sports bike.

Hope you can adjust bits and pieces to make it feel more confidence inspiring

Looks beand new. Glad to have you back in road. Big piston forks seem to reduce dive when braking for a corner and does feel weird at first i remembered. It might be that also giving a vafur feeling. More time in saddle will help.

Not quite two years, two years this July, but feels like a very long time.

To be fair to it, I've not even checked the tyre pressure or looked at what the suspension is set at. I've literally just ridden it home from Nottingham via a fry up in Matlock and given it a clean.

Also didn't help that the brake and clutch perches were set almost horizontal so I had to take my hands off the bars to brake!

Suspect Duke might have a point with the shitty touring tyres as the profile is very flat and round. My last bike had track tyres and a fairly extreme MCT setup.

Can't wait to get back out on it though, sadly Sarah is working all weekend so it may have to be a nighttime blast.

What? No I run 12 in the front and 17 in the rear. Takes me a while to le the pressure fall to that amount but boy is it an exciting ride.

You will adjust everything to for you like it. Different people mean different likes and dislikes so give it s little time and your be flying around likes it's noones business!

What I meant is the 24 in the front combined with a sh!ty tyre was probably contributing to the vague front end feeling. Plus I'm fairly sure the front sag is out, but can't be sure as I can't see the forks when I lift the bike up

Pretty piss poor of a shop to let it out with those tyre pressures.

Yep that would fook it up especially at the front and explain the poor feeling on corner entry. Set them 34/38 this time of year and put the suspension back to stock and I'm sure it will transform things as they are a great handling bike even as stock without any tinkering.

I managed to get out for a very cold hour last night and I'm in love. Took it on some of my favourite B roads and what a fecking machine.

Need to work on my riding now. Everything seems almost back to normal, slow corners are still a bit driving miss daisy, but my brain is struggling with the amount of information.

Glad you're loving it. I think when the temperature and grip improves willa lso give you more confidence and get back to your old looney ways.

I find slow corners difficult on my ZX6R to be fair Monty.. think it may be a little bit stiff in terms of compression damping (not allowing the suspension to travel at low speeds)
