I will be voting locally based on the candidate, regardless of party. I'm done with party politics they're all sh!t. Not quite as bad isn't good enough anymore.

I have always been of the opinion that party politics was no good , how can your MP represent your constituency when they are directed on how to vote by "The Party" ?

I think 'inevitable' was the term used.

Not the end of it imo. Once again we are into the recessionary cycle. I reckon rates will follow inflation up to 4 - 5%

I was reading an article yesterday that said the BoE would be left with no choice but to trigger a recession to stop inflation spiralling out of control.

IMHO it was the only option open to him.:
* If he is found to be innocent of the allegations, he had nothing to fear by having made the assurance
* If he was found guilty, his integrity would be so undermined that his role as leader of Labour would become untenable anyway.
* Either way, his "moral high ground" should serve against Boris, for either himself (or if found guilty, his sucessor).

Fwiw I was only surprised that he hadn't stated that stance straight away. There seemed quite a delay (with his colleagues avoiding taking a view when questioned).
