Tell me about it. It's the most spectacular day today - blue skies and 20 degrees in the shade today. Forecast to be the same all week now and I cant use mine :(

Don't you need a toilet roll or a single bag of rice? Surely that's a valid requirement for leaving the house, and the same stands tomorrow. Obviously the safest form of transport would be the bike as it would minimise any possible exposure time...

Bikers justification.

Not if he’s looking for toilet paper

Presumably, they'd have to catch him first

Exactly this, they want to know where going and why as well as home address. Otherwise I'd be out.

If I get fed up I might go out anyway with a rucksack and shopping bag in it.

Rode it, it was so much fun I can't tell you. Dry roads, mainly clear, the speed the sound the popping and crackling, the speed......lol man that blew away some cobwebs, I think there was a fair amount of range pent up due to the general vibe in the air and stupidity around at the moment.

And breath, in for 6, hold, out for 6.....ahhhhhh, now let's see what joy is brought today.

I did that the other day, 12c and way less salt about made for a good mix of chilled out riding and B road blasting. (rock)

I've had the last 2 days commuting in dynamic mode, it is a bit naughty.

Back to normal today though, dull, drizzle, damp roads, loads of mud everywhere. Rain mode it is then.

Was going to mow the lawns but the weather was awesome, so thought f**k it, it’s been ages since I took the multi out, I’m going for a ride.

Unplugged the trickle charger and the light was solid rather than flashing as it normally does on float. Try to start the bike and the starter relay is just clicking away under the seat. Check the voltage and it’s 12.8V. Try another start monitoring the volts and it drops down to about 8V. Battery is cooked.

So roll out the old faithful GB, choke on, fuel on, first kick, “brappp!” into life. Only had an hour after wasting time fault finding the multi and a few crash start attempts, so just had a run up the mountain and back. Tucked in downhill at one stage and got the ton out of it, but the old beast bucks and weaves at any little bump at that speed so I didn’t stay there long. Cut up a group of old farts on GS’s through a twisty section, but in fairness they were sticking to the speed limit (lol)

Do you leave the trickle charger on all the time?

I've been advised with the MV to only plug it in every few weeks or so - just to make sure that the battery doesn't go totally flat.

Yeah I had. I reckon it’s been a good while since it was run, October last year. It’s the same battery from when I bought it nearly 4 yrs ago and it’s lived its life on trickle.

Not my bike but my leathers.

Had them altered - the sleeves were really long so had them taken up. Dropped them in last week and they rung me a couple of days ago saying they were sorted!! Really quick turn around. But I can't pick them up yet

Took the 999 out for a spin this morning, was only out for about 1hr but have decided it’s just too uncomfortable for me too keep. My shoulders ached my wrists ached (blush) . When I parked it next to the Aprilia I knew which one I would rather be riding.
