Nicky Hayden

Post by Kwacky »

It sounds like he's been involved in a nasty cycling accident between his pushbike and a car.

Fingers crossed it's not serious

According to Autosport:

He was rushed to a hospital in Rimini with severe head and chest trauma - and remains in a serious condition.

An update offered by doctors on Wednesday evening said Hayden was in an intensive care unit, having suffered a diffuse brain edema.

Just been announced that he has suffered serious brain damage. Doesn't sound good

Lets hope the diagnosis is wrong and/or premature

having seen a photo of the car that hit him I am surprised he is alive , I haven't heard anything about the other riders , apparently he was in the middle of a pack of 14 cyclists , the car must have hit some of the other riders . I hope that he can make a full recovery .

News of him passing away are doing the rounds again on Twitter.

Guardian Sport have tweeted it.

I hope it's not true.
