She's asleep! I'm not complaining the poor thing has been through the ringer for the last few months. She got ill with a really nasty chest infection and the doc gave her a load of steroids that she's had a really bad reaction to. Severely depressed and the poor thing still has to wake up with me and four kids! She's been off work for the last 4 weeks!

She is thanks mate, wasn't so much the infection it was the steroids. The stupid arsed doctor didn't check her records and gave her a double dose of steroids widely known for causing mental health issues!

Did she 'snap' a bit at the slightest thing??

That's the usual side-effect....."'Roid rage".

The older I get, the less faith I have in the mainstream medical profession.

I got a course of steroids for laryngitis, which was caused from being intubated badly during my skin cancer/skin graft surgery. It smashed me around mentally too. It wasn't till I went back to my own doctor thinking I needed a increase in my antidepressants that she picked up what the specialist had given me and how it was interacting with my other med's. It was about then I quit the antidepressants off my own back and got into mindfulness and yoga.

(y) Infinitely better approach than just chucking chemicals down her throat.
I wonder if the fact that most of the worlds medical infrastructure is funded by the pharmaceutical industry, is the reason why "popping a pill" is currently the most frequently used approach.??

I hope she starts to find a way back soon Monty, fwiw acknowledging your confidence in her strengths will be some of the greatest support you can give her IMHO mate (Over & above your sympathy & understanding).

I'm taking call after call following up quotes for a conveyancer... pretty sure my head is going to explode and whilst typing this realise I've forgotten everything the last guy I spoke to said... oops
