Apparently I'm going to melt.

The thermometer at home is reading just shy of 30 and it's 8.30 am

I use a small pipe. I have so little I'm not to worried about the ill effects. I have used a vape with a mate. Was weird but still effective! He used a heat gun and a plumbing brass elbow with a gauze, and the vapour was collected in a oven bag then inhaled from that. It was a trial version that he gave up on (lol)

In my younger days I make a bong out of a jam jar, filled it with ice and vodka. Smoothest hit I've ever had!!

Used responsibly like you would a drink after work I see no problem with pot. But if you wake up smash a bong and continue to do so, different story. But if you woke up and started slugging a 40oz of vodka it's the same problem.
You guys are fcuking tweakers!!!!!! (lol)

And there's nothing wrong with 40oz of vodka for breakfast, either.

Allegedly..../

Officially melting. A/C is on full and has been all day, all curtains closed and inside is still 30 deg C. It's nearly 6.30pm and it's still 43 deg out side.

N.B. I'm not saying you (or TB) shouldn't do whatever you want. It's your life, and ONLY you know how best to enjoy it.

Arthur C. Clarke was once quoted as pointing out— 'Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

I could also consider getting stoned, IMHO two undesirable outcomes; Either I enjoy it, & will wish to repeat , or I dislike it anyway.???????

Every argument has two sides, and lots of people use drugs to enhance their enjoyment of life, so who am I to say it's wrong. (shake)

Why would enjoying it be undesirable, StM?

There's nothing undesirable about enjoyment.
Fwiw it would be my desire to repeat that I would be wanting to avoid. - We are all wired differently, and you may well cope fine where I may tip down the slope.?

Perhaps we don't have to look far to see how different types of personalities cope with access to recreational drugs.?

No, repulsive.
I would have thought that I'm not the the right person to answer that.?

You've met me (albeit briefly). General consensus seems to be that my personality (or lack thereof) is generally described as insular/boring/insincere. ;)

Bollocking other people''s solicitors and estate agents again. I'm nearly employed as a full time solicitor bollocker these days (gah)

Why can't solicitors do what there paid for and the people paying them ensure they get what they are paying for.

I moved house 5 times now and every time you encounter some useless fook wit who claims to be a professional solicitor funded by a trusting idito who is happy to pay handsomely for incompetence and little progress.

Cun£'s could not sum these tw#ts up any better (gah)

Fwiw I too am buying a place at the moment, and the vendor's solicitors simply refuse point blank to communicate with me whatsoever.
Myself, I'm using a different legal practice to the one I used last year, and have discovered (unsurprisingly) that there is validty in the saying "the better the devil you know" Image

Rather than go back to Symes, I have decided I will definitely do my own conveyancing next time.

Yes....well, old Arthur was also fond of the boys too, so not exactly setting the benchmark in 'straight'forward thinking on just a hypothetical level.....

At a Crimbo dinner a few years back, we were talking about books that had made a big impression on us; one of my Sisters was an Arthur C Clarke, at which my Maj (ret'd) FiL said "He came to one of our dinner parties in Ceylon and gave a talk" at which all of my family (scifi readers) jaws hit our chests. When we pressed him for more info on meeting one of our heroes, all he had to say was "bit of an interesting chap really", sometimes someone you know well can really surprise you with their stunningly narrow vision.
