EICMA Milan Bike Show
Lots of new models being unveiled today. I'll try and update the thread as I spot stuff being published.

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
Kawasaki have said that there are 10 new models to be announced at the end of next year, including 4 brand new bikes. They will continue to use the superchargers so it looks like we could be in for some fun in 2018.

Vanilla Ice rides for KTM now???
Sounded like a Neo-Nazi Convention.
Bikes looked cool except for the last one they unveiled.....looked a little odd to me.

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
I think Kawasaki needs to bring out something to rival the R6 that is an out and out race bike with lights and also replace the 636 with a 400-600cc supercharged road sport bike...
ZX6RS and ZX6RR...?
ZX6RS and ZX6RR...?

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
Well they have said 4 brand new models and with the patents they've lodged it does look like we're going to get a middle weight H2.

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
Hopefully they can give us a new proper racing 600 then otherwise BSS is going to be a class of 1

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
I guess they'll already have a 600cc supersport nearing production if they're going to release an updated zx6r but they'll want to take a good look at the new R6 before they finalise it.

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
Yeah exactly.. it'll be a 2018 bike. Hopefully with an extra 10bhp and 10kg weigh reduction (most of which would be found from the wheels)

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
I doubt you'd get that much weight pared off the wheels??
My knowledge of the Metric System is gladly lacking, though....so I could well be wrong.

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
You're looking at about 7kg lost from an exhaust system, 4/5kg from the wheels, solo seat would save another kg, replacing cast parts with forged or machined parts will also save another kg or 2D41 wrote:I doubt you'd get that much weight pared off the wheels??

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
Multiply everything by 2 and that's roughly how many pounds it weighsD41 wrote:What part of "My knowledge of the Metric System.....etc." did you not get????Cav wrote:You're looking at about 7kg lost from an exhaust system, 4/5kg from the wheels, solo seat would save another kg, replacing cast parts with forged or machined parts will also save another kg or 2D41 wrote:I doubt you'd get that much weight pared off the wheels??

Re: EICMA Milan Bike Show
Whaaaat??
See....this is where I get fecked off.......the metric measurements of distance I'm fine with, and can adjust for.....but the British versus US gallons are different and....well...I just get confused.
I thought it was...
2,5lbs....1kg
4.0 litres....1 gallon
4.2 litres....1 UK gallon....or 4.6...I can never remember.
Your shoe sizes are off too, by the way.
