Less than £2k for both the shock and fork cartridges - not bad actuallyKwacky wrote:I bet those aren't cheap.Cav wrote:I haven't done anything to the bike but I did look at it again this morning and also look on Nitron's website to happily discover they now do fork internals too.....

That's relatively cheap, considering some of the prices I've seen just for internals.

Yes exactly..
they offer a "Pro" kit too which is apparently what they used in Factory Suzuki teams where all critical components are lined with ultra low friction coatings - pretty sure that is above and beyond what I would require! haha.
By the way, approximately £2k gets you the RacePro shock and Internals. you'd save £200 if you just went for the Race shock

Quick 120 km round trip for lunch up in the Blue Mountains and getting hammered by bugs!

That's the one. Can't argue with a shameless plug that most people will ignore anyway to get 5% off.TonyB wrote:Moorespeed racing?
Rizoma brake reservoirs from there
Chain & sprockets from Branded Biker
Brake Lines from Goodridge
Air & Oil Filters and Brake Pads from PDQ
Once they all arrive I'll be booking the bike in for a LONG overdue service & MOT, and these bits will get fitted then.
I know we've already discussed doing bits myself, but it's going in for a service anyway.
There's no point in me paying someone who is going to strip and clean my brakes (amongst other things as part of the service), only for me to take it apart again to stick new pads in and maybe get it wrong, and have to buy a bleed pump to get it done anyway!

That makes sense if it's going in for a service and you've got lots of stuff to fit.

That's what I thought.
I've got other bits I'll do myself, like the grips I got off Tony and the other pieces I have planned like rearsets and indicators etc, but I think I'll tinker away at that over the winter, give me something to do.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yesterday went out with my dad for a 90 mile blast. It was a nice mooch around ride. I haven't been out for a while and the low laying sun was a tad difficult with the wet roads as well at some points all you could see was white reflection. Pretty scary thought when you consider possibility of diesel as well. I only saw 1 stream of diesel on the roads. Really don't get why people over fill their tanks. Ended up at Loomies and had a nice late breakie.

Sun reflection is a pain at this time of year, even with a sun visor on. It can be very distracting. Your levels of concentration have to be 100% because you've got very little time to react to something if its on the road.

I don't know how people overfill their tanks to start with.. I put the nozzle fully into the tank and keep it going to the click. Never had any issues.
While we're on this subject - HOW DO PEOPLE FORGET TO PUT THE CAP BACK ON!!!!!
With the reflection, this is where your IAM training comes into play - riding to conditions and remembering the 5 steps
