Paddock stands

Post by DaytonAndy »

Just wondering what everyone uses/recommends? I currently use an abba stand but it attaches onto an engine mount so is obviously unsuitable for removing the engine!

I've got an Oxford stand. It's lasted me years and is very stable.

I've got a really fancy rear stand with wheels on it, useful of you are tight on space as you can move the bike easily.

The front one is one of those aluminium jobbies and it's rubbish. I find it hard to get the bike up in the stand, and then it never really seems stable.

The previous front stand was an Oxford, that lasted years before I replaced it.

Use ABBA myself and have a rear prong type one but I can't remember who made it as had it years and years.

If I did want to buy a rear I would 100% be going for a Harris one if that helps.

Fwiw I have a Harris rear stand, and a headstock stand for the front.
That combination works perfectly for me.

I have a Harris rear stand too and it's rock solid. Doesn't fit my current bikes though.

PitBull.

Strong enough to lift a car. Well....if you count a Honda Civic two-door little bubbly looking thing as a car.

I haven't a clue what mine is but it's blue, heavy and does an excellent job!
