Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Not today but yesterday, had suspension tweaked at the front end by a guy called Nick at Road & Race Performance in Meridan. It feels less harsh and doesn't want to run wide when gassing out of a corner but still lacking the 'plushness' I'm looking for so some upgrades will be on the way.
I said to him I'd mention his place on here as I was chatting to him and he has an immaculate looking 2016 ZX10r. As he has all the kit to do it so he's flashed his ecu, decatted and dyno tuned and he says its transformed it. It seems like a good set up there and yet I've never heard of it until my MOT tester recommended it. They're also trying to promote a bikers meet around Meriden so actual bikers can go and and socialise without the Wankers on quads attracting the wrong sort of attention.

Not going all out on cartridge kits etc, bit too pricey for me, especially a bike that I don't want to ride all year round in the rain etc
K-Tech SSK piston kit and flow control valves. Looking at £500ish all in without changing the springs I reckon. I'll get a more accurate price tomorrow when I phone them.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
A simple revalve might be another option and probably half the cost. Just an idea don't know your bike or your needs obviously.
Had one done on my SP with great results.
Was going to fit a 20mm ohlins piston kit but tuner told me the OEM piston in the SP was virtually identical to the Ohlins 20mm piston kit.
Saved me alot of money so may be worth discuss with your man as a suggestion.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Have had a hoot over the weekend. Been out both days got caught out in the rain yesterday with the advanced lot!! Managed to get hit by a bird, had 2 rear wheel slide outs (one on gravel the other on wet mud), had a small tank slapper, got soaked in leathers and my bloody visor broke - not that bad it's only the tag that you use to open and shut it!! Great!! Probably done me good going out in the rain as I haven't been out for quite sometime in the rain. All in all around 300 miles done over the weekend. Absolutely fantastic

Great minds, I did exactly the same thing recently! I got my Mrs to find it, take a photo of it and whatsapp it over which they accepted. According to t'internet the dvla will fax you over a copy of too if you contact them but that didn't go well for me!Kwacky wrote:Supposed to be going out on the bikes but this spazbucket forgot his driving licence.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Apparently the smaller pistons are a lot more difficult to get a perfect setup (if there even is such a thing). A lot of club riders prefer the 30mm kits just for ease of setup and a lot of people hate on Ohlins weirdly.

Not today but last time I rode it. Played around with the power modes.
Wow what a difference a 70 bhp hit makes
Low power is around 110bhp and is still very quick. Full power at 180ish bhp is just plain Savage Really is like 2 different bikes.

Bike washed, chain lubed, pads swapped. I need to bleed the brakes as well.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Been out and thrashed it. Learned quite a lot at the Panigale trackday just by watching and following the instructors. Makes me ride a bit to fast for the road though. Need to do another trackday before the winter.

Me too. Any where you fancy?duke63 wrote: Need to do another trackday before the winter.
It might be the last outing for the track bike. I've only used it once this year, at this rate it would be cheaper to hire and I would get a newer bike too.
