The Price of Sponsorship

Post by Kwacky »

Jenny Tinmouth tweeted the other day that she's got some space left for sponsors. I sent her an email and asked for a pricelist, just ot see if it was anything I could afford.

Erm. No.

Guess how much it would cost for the tankslap URL to go on her visor

And guess how much it would cost to have the tankslap logo on both sides of the helmet.

I would imagine helmet sponsorship is expensive as potentially it gets most. Close up airtime. I reckon visor will be at least £2500.

3 grand for the visor, 1500 for the helmet.

I'm sure if you offered a piece of Kwacky sausage it would sweeten the deal!

The sides of the helmet are a lot more than the visor.

I suppose like all sports it's expensive to take part, just look at how much it is for the likes of Thundersport, just ask Pitty..... They need as much sponsorship as possible to be able to take part., and I bet all the sponsorship still does not cover all the costs, a lot of family money goes in no doubt.

no wonder she still has space to sell , no disrespect to Jenny but she's not a front runner and doesn't get much in the way of airtime , a bit overpriced in my opinion .

I'm inclined to agree Jack. I thought, given what you say and where we are in the season, that the prices would be a lot more sensible than that.

That is quite expensive. At my old firm, we sponsored Talan Racing and the team as title sponsors for the season for £15k.

So bikes were fully badged up as were the guys leathers, all the pit shirts, the vans and trailers (http://talanmotorsport.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and on top of this as you can see, loads of voverage on the website.

For the 2nd season, it was agreed that sponsorship would rise to £50K to allow for 2 new riders, and the publicity we will get from the documentary "Dream the Impssible" you cannot put a price on, but it has been money well spent, but then the team ethos fitted in well with our ethos and has proven to be money well spent.

So to me £7,5K for both sides of the helmet does seem very expensive and I would argue that Talan has a higher profile.

If you are looking to sponsor someone, Talan is on the look out for new sponsors and will be considerably cheaper.
