Haha...yes that could be a possibility Kwacky...I remember you mentioning a little while back that a IAM guy followed you while filtering...he may of said to you nice to see a rider using the benefits of using a bike...but you don't know what he said when he got home...he was a hooligan etc...this guy has clearly stopped your application going through haha!!

My experience with IAM is mixed.. some people ride faster than I feel safe sometimes (and I don't hang about) and there's others who stick to every single speed limit and I just want to go home after 5 minutes.

There's a lot of people who believe they are better than anyone else and the general attitude isn't great with a fair few.

I don't think I've met any idiots (yet)!! I have met a couple a big heads but when you watch them ride it's sort of clear why, progress doesn't mean full throttle everywhere it means you have to do less work for any situation that arises because you planned for it before hand. Although if it's a posted limited then I do stick to them and I know everyone who I ride with through the IAM do as well, if that makes us boring then fair dos, but I don't think its clever to speed in posted areas, certain 50s are just stupid they were just nationals but someone wanted to see if they could pull money in from them in my opinion. Nationals are a different kettle of fish in my opinion, but many of our good nationals are now 50s which sucks! I wouldn't class myself as fast I class myself as comfortable for my ability, fast to me means Moto GP and none of us are that fast or even have half their talent or half their balls...whatever way you think about it [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Don't get me wrong, I stick to 30s and 40s and some 50s but when they're still doing 50-55 in a national it really takes the biscuit. If I want to do less than the limit I'll cycle. It's mostly down to route selection, they have a habit of going through the centre of built up areas and it does my head in.

As for the guys that go too fast, on track they'd be no better than average it's just that they go into blind corners at 90%.. that's far too much IMO

I couldn't agree more...I have no problem if someone who is riding is doing 60 in a 60 but when they are doing less, or even worse they do 50 then rise to 60 then back to 50 but for no real reason that pisses me off and I generally either overtake them or let them go off and I'll go on another route!! Haha!

Must admit I watched a YouTube video at the weekend where a rider was riding some nice country roads he got to a bend and what was at the end of it...a flipping car parked up...what the hell!! Luckily rider didn't get injured or even hit it, what goes on in people's minds how do they think it's acceptable to park in such stupid places!

You have problems as a potential client? You should try being an examiner for them.

Try RoSPA (who I examine for) and whose head office is based in Birmingham in Edgbaston. There are a couple of very good groups in Birmingham and we may even get to meet up when I come along to give them a talk/presentation

Obviously I don't know what part of the West Mids you are in, but the other option is to call RoSPA direct, ask to speak to the advanced drivers association and they will be able to tell you where your nearest group is.
