Online footprint
Having a chat with my mate at Twitter (on twitter) about this.
If he types in his real name plus Google+ it shows his mobile number.
I'm lucky in that my name isn't that common and I've always tried to limit the information I provide online. A search of my real name brings up no photos of me

Re: Online footprint
All I can find about me is my athletics results... my number on facebook is deliberately incorrect and my page name is different to my real name

Re: Online footprint
I find each time facebook adjust privacy settings you have to scroll through and switch everything off again. I remember starting with everything switched off and yet every time there is an update I'm able to find my facebook through a search engine.
Other than facebook, which is hidden again now, I'm pretty stealth though.

Re: Online footprint
There's absolutely nothing on me at all, but as I don't use Twitter, or any of the other also-ran social media it's not that surprising, added to the fact that I only ever access FB via a browser and my settings are set to "Non" for pretty much everyone and I am reassuringly anonymous.
Mind you a determined searcher is bound to find something, but there's plenty of easier targets out there to keep me out of harm's way.

Re: Online footprint
I keep a fairly low online presence, my details are out there (fecking companies house) but not much linked to them to make them stand out.
Most internet stuff is fine under aliases, but that's only really to keep a segregation between work and personal lives. I know a lot of potential employers research candidates online and I don't want then finding posts about me generally talking shite.

Re: Online footprint
I've just had a fairly comprehensive search. The only thing out there is my LinkedIn profile, but you'd have to know what my name is for that. It hasn't really got any contact details, though.
There are a lot of results for my name, but it's all for the other 3 people who share it. Surprising that there's that many, tbh.
