Snow for me this morning. About 1 - 2cm. AS usual as soon as I get on the A5 heading to Tamworth it's all gone.

It was snowing this morning, which meant the usual carnage on the roads. Plenty of crashes.

Muppets, the lot of them.

Because most people drive on their brakes these days rather than planning ahead. They are too busy texting, talking, pressing buttons in the car or thinking about what's for tea.

I may sound old, but society today cannot do concentrate on one task thoroughly.

Self driving cars are needed, not because the technology is there, but because technology has removed lots of basic skills from the populous.

I'm becoming old school :)

Some cars handle terribly in the snow, the Merc C class I had was the worst by far, even when I touched the brake with a feather touch it just locked up and slid, about 2-3 years ago I got about half way to work shitting myself but gave up and abandoned it in a car park and walked home, useless thing in the snow.

The biggest difference is made by winter tyres. Compulsory in some countries and regions at the right time of year. Tbh it should be in the UK too.

You can't force people to buy a second set of tyres and wheels for 1 day of snow.

I've got the joys of sitting in a car in "rush hour" traffic. I may go psycho.

On a positive, it did manage to drop up to 1m of snow in some of European ski areas. (smirk)

However, apparently the powerful winds & lack of properly cold base layer made short work of it. :@

My wait continues, & I think I'm beginning to get the DT's ...
