I think that calling it a "terrorist incident" really is stretching it. But I guess they're only playing to the demands of the media.

It helps support the government's overseas policies to associate any act like this with terror and terrorism. Fear keeps the masses in their place.

Agreed. The utter shite coming out from western governments at the moment is quite scary.

Now there's a point.: If they were to rise to power, I guess it's feasible that they may take steps to evict "foreigners" living in France..? :S

Maybe. I think "non Europeans" may be first as France would have to leave the eu to kick us out.....

They play to the French values of protecting their country. I've never seen a more patriotic county anyway. They do fight to protect french, their culture, way of life etc - it's part of the attraction, however it is being eroded.

The current government is useless to be honest and still spending like crazy, so I'm not surprised the right is up again.

I'll just stay out the way thanks :)
