Something needs to be done. Rossi and his appeal as well as Marquez being assaulted by journalists is just ridiculous. Makes a great series a farce.

I'll be glad when Valencia is over. A sad end to what should have been an excellent season.

Two-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez was assaulted by Italian reporters at his house in Spain on Friday, a report said.

The crew was from an Italian TV show “Le Iene” (The Hyenas). Reporters Stefano Corti and Alessando Onnis, along with a cameraman, were reportedly waiting for Marquez at his home as the Repsol Honda rider was returning from a day out dirt biking with his brother and father. Marquez refused to be interviewed by the crew who then began mocking him before following him into his garage where a scuffle ensued in which Marquez reportedly suffered a scratch to his neck.

Iannone was getting loads of shit from the Italians for not supporting Rossi at Philip Island.

They're mental about sport in Italy.

Two interesting facts

The seven-point advantage that Valentino Rossi has over Jorge Lorenzo is the smallest margin between the top two riders when arriving at the final race of the year since 1992.

Only two riders have overturned a points deficit in the final race of the year to become premier-class world champion; Wayne Rainey in 1992 and Nicky Hayden in 2006.

The last time in 2006 was to beat Rossi.

Here's a few more interesting facts for you Cav (y)

Dani Pedrosa is the most successful rider at the Valencia circuit with six wins: three in MotoGP™, two in 250cc, and one in the 125cc class.

Of the current riders, the next most successful after Pedrosa, with two wins each, are: Valentino Rossi (2 x MotoGP™), , Jorge Lorenzo (2 x MotoGP™); Marc Marquez (1 x Moto2™, 1 x MotoGP™)

The premier-class race at Valencia has been won seven times by Spanish riders; Dani Pedrosa won the MotoGP™ race in 2007, 2009 and 2012; Jorge Lorenzo won in 2010 and 2013; Marc Marquez won last year.

Since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP™ formula in 2002, Honda has been the most successful manufacturer with eight victories at the Valencia circuit.

Last year Marc Marquez won the race in Valencia after qualifying in fifth place on the grid – the first time that the MotoGP™ race in Valencia has been won by a rider not starting from the front row.

Some very interesting facts which if you were to believe them a Spanish rider on a Honda is most likely to win and if your not on the front 2 rows your unlikely to be at the front come the end of the race.

Predictions..?

Lorenzo to win - lets face it he wants it pretty damn badly!!

Pedrosa and Marquez to finish the top 3 - probably Marquez in front of Pedro-bot

Rossi to finish.... I'm gonna take a stab at 6th position

Wild guess as TBH anything could happen out there.

If everyone keeps their head and no DNF's I m going for

1 - Marquez
2 - Pedrosa
3 - Lorenzo

Rossi is too hard to call but I'll say 5th or 6th which if he does and Lorenzo is third then Rossi is World Champion.

I just hope its a good, fair and entertaining race (y)

Had a quick 5 minute search but can't find any bookies giving odds on the race win, only odds on Lorenzo or Rossi for the title.

I'd be willing to put a £1 bet on Lorenzo for the title and Rossi to finish 6th.

Don't you remember the last 2 years with Lorenzo and Marquez at Valencia - Lorenzo looks like he's going to hit Marquez off at every corner

Betfair have Lorenzo just edging Marquez with Pedrosa third for the race odds.

What are the odds on that? You may have to really break it down for me as I have NO IDEA about betting. Only did one and I didn't look at the odds, just chose a horses name that I liked and lost.

I meant it like an accumulator style thing.. £1 on BOTH lorenzo winning the title AND rossi finishing 6th.

What I know about Betting is not worth knowing so I would have to learn a little more before placing a bet.
