Your average supercar makes 4 times as much pollution as your average family car and that's just based on government figures that we know are notoriously inaccurate. I bet the reality is far more.

A Bugatti Veyron makes 6 times as much pollution.

He probably pays more than 6 times more in road fund lience and fuel on tax though so that should afford a few trees to offset the carbon.

Tbh I love high performance vehicles of any kind and dread the day governments introduce legislation that will spoil the fun. Enjoy it whilst you can I say.

I would imagine if they seriously wanted to make big savings in fossil fuel vehicle based polution they should look at aging passenger aircraft that have hugely thirsty and inefficient gas turbines strapped under the wing.

I'm not suggesting they be banned, Blade.

Just that they should not allow such vehicles in areas where air pollution is an issue.

I really don't believe petrol cars are the problem apart from in cities due to density of cars and humans. My performance car emits a pleasantly large amount of co2, which I had to pay lots of tax to fund, so I don't feel very guilty tbh. As far as I'm concerned diesels and nox levels from said vehicles are far more concerning at this point in time.

I do think there are more issues with industrial pollution, especially in countries such as the US, Russia, India and China.

Public transport is crap and expensive. No way I'd useb that in cities instead of my own car. And I'm not buying a leccy car just to occasionally pop to the shops
