Wondering how an expert has managed to charge me £4,000 for a report that's 3 months late and needs completely re-writing.

Just refuse to pay. I have similar things happen. If I don't get the goods or service I ordered, they don't get a penny.

Last night went to see a ballet and opera show. I mean, seriously it was magnificent, amazing and so elegant. I hadn't got a blinking clue what the hell they were going on about but their responses while singing or dancing where well shown. Thorighly enjoyed it

Realising the sense of lost traction from the rear wasn't poor grip but the TC kicking in (blush)

Clicked the TC up a level and seemed to find more drive (happy)

Yesterday went to the colloseum. Wow what a trip. Had a tour guide around it they guy gave lots of information, well worth the little extra in my opinion.

The arena could hold 55k spectators at one time and the spectators were chosen through a lottery system because. It was free tickets everyone had a chance to go and view it. The rich downstairs and the poor upstairs

Just a few pics

Above is one of the 50 trap doors the Romans would of used to add in extra gladiators, lions, tigers or bears or any other type of animal or slave they would want for entertainment purposes

Above is showing old and new. The brick work is new (18hundreds) the white block arch in the middle is original.

They said in the first 100 days of the colloseum being built 5000 people and animals were slaughtered.

The Romans couldn't afford to keep having gladiator slaves being killed so they also put animal against animal. However apparently when Rome was at its height of power they had 1 million people living there, when Rome fell they only had 20k people living there. This is because the wealthy found new places to live because they wanted better chances for their businesses etc and becaus people were killed for entertainment purposes inside the arena. They say 1million people died inside the walls. I was gobsmacked to hear this, such a difference in population bearing in mind the arena could hold 55k people...the whole of the population of Rome wouldn't of even filled it.

It really is staggering, isn't it mate. Most of the rest of the world were still living in tribes at the time.

Mind you, 2000 years later, and the UK celebrated the event by building a big tent. (wasntme)

Also, that repulsive & wanton slaughter was at a time in history when IMHO individuals were of far greater value.:

Wife is doing her CBT so I've got the kids. I'm taking them shopping for clothes, which should be a laugh a minute.
