Guess I'll check in while I can....my PC access is VERY limited ATM.....I'm into my last month or so here. Turns out that financially I should be sound for a while when I get out....about $700 a week or so PLUS back-benefits for the last 6 months or so, so a tidy $15K or so to get me started....not what I was making by a long stretch, but more than enough for me by myself with my current situation....I have a few other options too.
Sorry for the ranting, but writing stuff down really helps....at least to an extent....had a huge breakthrough last night with some memory issues, but there's still huge gaps....saw my wife for the very time in months and really had no idea who she was, which was just plain weird.
God, I'll be glad to see the back of this place, though...it's wearing thin.

Sorry to hear this. My mum has Alzheimer's. She can remember stuff from years ago but her short term memory is shot to hell, Must be really frustrating.

Probably......end of the day I've spent nearly all my adult life here so it makes little sense to return to what is in essence a strange country....I'm receiving good financial assistance, so I should be OK.....I think - I have little recollection of a lot of stuff and forward planning has never been my strong suit....oddly enough my mind is hyper-active when it comes to creativity...or so I'm told....ten more days or so (not that I'm counting!!) and I'll be outta here and back to civilization.

Cheers for all the nice comments BTW, they really do make a difference. (clap)

As I said, prolly back to Orange....I've got a bunch of unfinished business to take care of re; my son, child support, etc....fun stuff like that.....last two weeks have actually been kinda fun here....we've been rehearsing some comedy skits I wrote for an upcoming event, and the response was pretty awesome....way beyond what I expected - but the place still sucks.
