VW Redbull
Apparently VW are very close to buying the Red bull F1 team.
Not a big F1 fan but always good to see a major manufacturer committing to motorsport

Re: VW Redbull
Red bull have done well and had some good drivers. I worry that VW will be boring like the other German F1 teams.

Re: VW Redbull
They have plenty of options of what to call the race team branding.
Audi, VW, Bugatti, Porsche, Lamborghini.....

Re: VW Redbull
Not sure tbh. Would make sense but as far as I know VW is the parent company within this extended group.

Re: VW Redbull
I don't really follow F1 anymore but I somehow can only see them.going it for a few seasons then selling up. F1 is such a drain on funds can't see them wanting to invest for a long period

I'm unsure, companies always cut somewhere and it's usually the little guys. Bosses hate to loose anything!

Re: VW Redbull
Well if it was as boring as the usual procession today then I wouldn't want to sponsor or buy any team tbh.
Most exciting thing today was a bloke on the track

It's not a loss though Rossgo mate. They are gaining marketing, a desirable image and technology that are all key elements of their buisness plan.Rossgo wrote:I'm unsure, companies always cut somewhere and it's usually the little guys. Bosses hate to loose anything!
They will also be writing a lot of money off as tax rebates and entertaining somehow.
