You're not wrong Blade, even my Suzuki ER50 used to make me grin from ear to ear.

And that's what it's all about Monty (rock)

Fast or slow, Racer or Commuter, 200 bhp missle or 12 bhp learner friendly it doesn't matter.

Two wheels should always put a smile on your boat race or there is something seriously wrong.

I wanted traction control on my commuter because of the uncertainty of road conditions. Having the choice to vary or switch off TC makes my ride a little bit more comforting when I'm going to and from work.

No doubt it'll be tested in the coming months as the weather gets wetter and colder.

It's hard to keep pace with progress.

The R1 now has slide control to work with the traction control.

I know a couple of guys on the ducatiforum claimed that the cornering TC on their Multis saved them from a crash on wet diesel. Bike let go and then gripped again. I don't think they were totally leaning over but anyway still amazing if true.

Bit late to the conversation but hey...

The RSV is an 04 so from the same era as the SP2, and also a big v-twin.. Your SP is in much better condition and very much lower mileage, but I'm 100% with you on the enjoyment factor.. Nothing quite beats the traction of a twin out of the bends, and there is nothing better to put a grin on you face than the smile that comes with it.

I know more modern bikes are more powerful and more advanced, but I just find them a little too good and a little sterile.. Even if I could afford it I'm not sure I could get rid of the RSV...

Oh, and BTW........ Get that SP2 out more often, I still have yet to see it in person... I would love to hear the SP2, RSV, and Dukes 748 all running over the mountain section on full chat........

Haha nice one Nutz as you say the Aprilla is still a weapon 8)

The SP wont be on any IOM trips unfortunately but it could pop out to Wales for the day and its a great idea to make it a v-twin day and bring Dukes awesome 748 to join the party too (raaar) .

If we get a decent day before the weather turns I m up for this (y)

Depends when it is. To be honest its unlikely i can take any days out of work this month.

We must be due some decent warm days before the end of season though.

I think i found a damn good reason for keeping the 748 yesterday though.

It got a fair few admiring looks and photos and a few questions too.
