Xbox Issues

Post by Blade »

My kids want to play on the xbox but we can't as we are unable to login to our account. The reason we can't login to our account is because xbox are doing maintenance.

We don't want to go on xbox live and play against other gamers we just want to play a game on a disc that we own and wish to play in single player mode.

It's pretty dam frustrating that we can't play a game because xbox are doing maintenance. Why do we even need to be on the Internet to use the console. It's a disc we own and have obviously paid for. We don't want to use any online gaming services.

It seems pretty stupid to me that you can't use your own games and games console in the privacy of your own home unless xbox decide it's ok with them.

And why do they decide to shut down the gaming and social network just as school finishes have they no brains between them at all ?????

That does seem very daft. I think you can play my lad's ps3 without being online.

You shouldn't need to be online to play a disc based game! The only time it NEEDS to be online is for the initial xbox console setup.

For some reason it wouldnt let us start a game till we had logged on Andy (we always have to logon) and it wouldn't let us login due to network maintenance. That's all I know matem

I hate how games are going. They don't even seem to bother finishing them now and rely on downloading patches after release. I bought a game for my laptop whilst on holiday in a caravan. It was a 1 player game. Yet when i got back to the van it wanted to go online and checj for updates and to register the game. Which meant i couldnt play it. Rudiculous.

I just swapped windows 10 back to windows 7 too. None of my old games will play on it, and it seems to run quite badly.

My update to windows 10 lasted all of about 3 days too. I had crash after crash with windows 10 and none of my extra software would work with it either so it was more hassle than it was worth. It looked promising at first too, it just didn't work with my laptop.

To stay on topic, I stopped buying consoles when they moved towards the online bias since my internet connection is often crap at home so I figured why bother. Plus I spent too much time gaming when I had a working x-box and playstation.

I swear everything is online now. What ever happened to good old PlayStation one games. Simple insert disc then play! Suppose it won't stop now!
