Dont fret Rossgo I think you will be OK but even if you are charged it won't be a lot as the goods are not high value.

Got a letter today about the item. It's coming from parcel force and I have been charged a bit of VAT (12 quid plus handling 8 quid). Was a tad annoyed but actually don't really know what I'm annoyed about I suppose the shock was only 30 odd quid plus 60 quid for postage. Guess it's a lot cheaper than 300quid for a cheap shock!!

Good news. You going to get the shock worked on before you put it on?

No don't think it should need anything. The scrappy I bought off said it's been taken off a CBR with only 10k miles on it. Obviously I'll never 100% know that but if it is true then should be fine to just bolt straight on.

What would you recommend if it does need to be worked on?

There's probably no point in getting it worked on. If you were going to spend money on getting a shock worked on you might as well have got your original shock sorted!

Give them a ring and complain. Tell them you waited in and are not happy with their poor service.

You know what I'm not one to complain about much. Maybe a moan but very rare to complain, my missus is better at that side due to dealing with complaints so she knows the score better than myself. But on this occassion I am actually niffed with them. I used to work at Royal Mail and I know what some post men do to 'speed up' their rounds. It's a joke in my opinion. I feel really bad because technically it wasn't me who waited all day it was my mum and she never complains about taking packages for me but when I actually gave her a specific date she waited.

Think I'm just winding myself up here now haha!!

Call your insurance company first and suggest that you're changing to a Fireblade.

I reckon it'll be a couple of years before you can make the switch.

Hopefully it turns up soon mate.

Just thought Rossgo if you want the bike to be a little quicker at turning in you could stick a washer in the top shock mount when installing the new shock. Just an ordinary 1 or 2 mm thick washer in the correct size (probably m12 or m14 at a guess) will make a noticeable improvement and is a free mod if you already have the washer or can aqquire one ;)

Kwacky. Yes I totally agree that's the sad thing about it. Would of prob progressed by now in all honesty but like you say insurance Is the killer when you've had to make the claims. So prob will be couple .of years yet. Such a bummer to be honest!

Cheers Blade never knew you could do that, how does that work with using the washer? Although to be honest I'm pretty happy with how it handles, think it's very well balanced in all honesty. I haven't been out on her for a couple of weeks now and am really getting withdrawal symptoms Image
