Vortex rearsets

Post by kiwikrasher »

Amyone had experience with this brand?

Vortex Rearsets

These seem the most reasonable priced of the non-chinese knock off's. The cheap arsed ones on mine are corroded and all but one position have the mounting holes stripped, plus I noticed at the trackday that the left hand side is actually bent. So time for some more but I don't want to shell out $700-800 for Valmoto or Gilles.

I don't rate Gilles to be honest. The build isn't that great on them.

Vortex get good reviews.

SES are cheap but well worth the money

I've got Gilles on the Daytona, picked them up secondhand off Pete ?? the guy that raced a D600 in the states. They were an improvement on the standard but yeah definitely not worth the brand new price.

I'll have a look at SES, forgot about them.

SES are very good with good service. I had them on the Blade and would happily recommend. Easy to get spares for too as I found out after a little off (facepalm)

I've had a look at Accossato and SES now. They both look good and I'm sure there quality is as good as you all attest too, but they both will cost me at least 50% more (or a trackday worth) than the Vortex and from all accounts the Vortex aren't crap so I don't think I'll get 50% more benefit from them. The Vortex are in Aussie too, where the others are going to cost international shipping and take longer. SO I think I'll get the Vortex and leave enough to get my suspension tuned at the next trackday.

Cheers for the input. (y)

What about Sato? Japanese quality - I love them. Not sure about price in your neck of the woods?

Sato are awesome but twice the price of vortex unfortunately.

For the track bike after reading your above post, I don't think your going to get better for the dosh than vortex imo kiwi (y)

First ones I chased up Cookie, but nearly twice the price delivered. They are the ones the chinese copies are all taken off. I was almost tempted to buy some knock offs, a few at the track had them and had no issues with them, but they are too important to my survival on the bike so I'm not going to be a complete tight arse in this regard.
