Re: Eastern Creek Track Day
Not actually booked it yet as I've not found a hire bike, but looking at Snetterton on Tuesday 2nd June (No Limits). My Boss is there on his new Penigale!

Cheers Perkles, I'm just glad I remembered the earplugs. If this is what an old '06 model can do, you are going to love your beast at the track!Perkles wrote:Nice vid and riding, your bike sounds amazing

Re: Eastern Creek Track Day
Cheers Itchy, yup all sessions where good. I cut the last one short a bit as I was losing concentration and being lazy about moving on the bike cause I was so knackered, so thought it was best to come in and wrap.Itchy wrote:Cracking read, mate. Hope the other sessions went ok.
The only bother I had during the day was I was getting shooting numbing down my arms (hard to describe) that instantly took all my strength away. I think the riding aggravated the nerve injury I did offshore a few months back when I cracked my head into a beam. Off to see a physio this morning as it's still happening and is a bit of a concern.

Re: Eastern Creek Track Day
That's good on both parts.
I've had to come in early on the last session before but I really didn't want to as I felt like I would be losing out on the valuable track time I'd paid for. Turns out riding at speed whilst suffering with stomach cramps will throw the concentration no end. Anyhoo, it's good that you could realise that you were suffering for it and come in early to minimise the risk.
And, although obviously it's not good that you're getting the shooting pains, it's good that you're getting it looked at, and not trying to shrug it off.
Like I probably would!

Re: Eastern Creek Track Day
I'm heading out to work in 5 days and if I turn up there and have to get flown off site a few days later because I'm not fit for duty it won't go down well, so that's a big part of my motivation!

Not had a chance to look as the video yet as my phone doesn't seem to like it.
Sounds like you had a cracking day though, and the bike did you proud.

It's an 2006, not up with the models numbers sorry!
I've got a recent dyno sheet the last owner gave me, and it put out 161 bhp at rear wheel.

Re: Eastern Creek Track Day
The Kawasaki forum guys call it the 'gumby'. The one before they call the 'crim' and one after the 'bugeye'. I can take guesses but not entirely sure why?
