Sounds good Nutz I take it the larger tyre is a 190/55 ???
Tbh you probably discussed them with me mate but my memory is completely shot. Im getting worse as I get older. I go to sleep and its almost like a full reset as I retain nothing all joking aside its a little concerning especially at work with colleagues.

Yes, it is... And TBH I don't think we're too far off the same riding pace on the road. I remember following you over the mountain section of the IOM a couple of years back, that was after Kwacky had stormed past me.Blade wrote:Sounds good Nutz I take it the larger tyre is a 190/55 ???.
It's also worth noting that the roads round here are in a really crap condition, pot holes and cracks everywhere. But I also cover a fair bit of the country when I ride so experience a lot of different surfaces and conditions.

Nutz no comment has been made by me on your riding or pace mate, you have nothing to justify or explain to me mate. I think your reading to much into my comments tbh. I have only commented on Rockets pace and that as a mate I regularly ride with I would value his opinion that's all.
I value your opinion and genuinely thank you for such. I sincerely didn't realise you had the m7 Tyre fitted. Cheer's and glad your enjoying the m7. Have a good day all the best

Who said that?D6Nutz wrote:Cheers mate. I really appreciate that you don't rate my abilities on a sports bike, and also aren't interested in my views on the tyre. I mean I've only used them for a whole year in all conditions on a litre bike, and that includes a couple of track days.
What would I know...

Took it to get the service indicator reminder turned off and just have the clutch operation checked out.
Looked and drooled at the 1299S in the showroom. Did ask about taking it out for a demo but they weren't keen today as its the only one they have and it was getting a fair bit of attention from customers.
Turned a 40 mile ride home into a 90 mile ride.

Pure filth they are. They shouldn't be allowed in public.duke63 wrote:

I like them and would have to test ride one but reckon I would prefer an R1 tbh.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Remember the issues i had on the trip last year with struggling to find 1st and neutral at times.? It would seem it was air getting into the system, almost certainly from continuously slipping the clutch on that 20+ mile filtering session through the M25 traffic jam. I flushed through with new fluid last December and its been fine since but I just wanted a Ducati mechanics feel for making sure it was now OK.Blade wrote:Sounds a good day Duke.
What's up with the clutch ?
The sales guy was out at Valencia last week on the dealer tests for the 1299. Reckoned it made him want to go back to racing again it was that good and a big improvement over the 1199.

One thing I have noticed in the last week or so of being back on the bike, is that there is a lot of Plod and speed cameras about.
Got a warning from a driver coming the other way yesterday and the same happened again today.

Chilly ride in this morning. Heated grips and a larger screen will be on the bike come autumn.

Chilling at the moment, then taking kids in push bikes before dinner. Will head not for a blast on my bike after dinner than going out for somentea following swimming lessons. Busy but enjoyable day.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Been to watch the Performance Bikes magazine testing the 1299 Panigale, new S1000RR and the new R1 at Mallory this afternoon.
Watching Michael Rutter power the bikes down the main straight and past the slower bikes was a sight to behold.
Kiyo was also there doing some testing and he was very interested on an old 1957 BSA sidecar outfit that was running there too. I was chatting to the lady sidecar passenger and Kiyo was fascinated on how the bike was put together. I suspect he knows more English than he lets on these days
