Cant remember Nicky Whelan but then I didn't watch a lot of it, but agree with you that Natalie Imbruglia was worth watching it for alone, and she's still lovely now

Watched it religiously for about 2-3 yrs. Dunno why I faded out, but I think it was around the time I discovered the joys of alcohol.
