Is Spring here?

Post by Kwacky »

Seemed like it this morning. I know I live in a big city but the local river and green area provides a decent amount of wildlife. As I walked to my car this morning I could hear a couple of woodpeckers hard at work and a thrush in a nearby tree was singing. Looks like the first green buds are showing on the trees as well.

Shame I had to scrape some ice off the windscreen.

Sadly I think we're only being shown "What you could've won", as Duke says it's back to warm clothes, a roaring fire and hot soup at the weekend, perhaps we will have a more lasting warm spell post-Easter.

By the sounds of it though a lot of people uncovered their bikes over the weekend and took them out for a spin. That's surely a good sign of things to come even if that was merely a taster! Soon enough we will all have those days and with that comes all the bloody moaners saying they want the cold weather back etc haha

There were loads of bikes out on Saturday. You could spot those who had taken winter off.
