Powerline Batteries

Post by jlawie »

evening all.

The daytonas battery is all but dead, so after a new one.

Anyone tried the eBay budget powerline battery? Half the price of the yuasa, but any good?

Guessing I'll play it safe, but wondered if anyone's got one?

Seconded.

Cheap batteries aren't worth it. They need replacing sooner for a start.

Exactly. I've always bought yuasa because they generally don't let you down. Motobatt have very good rep too :)

Shop around I only paid £40 for my Yuasa from main Honda dealer so not worth saving a tenner for a budget brand IMO.

Another +1 on the MotoBatt, you can't put a price on standing by the road side.

Actually I've got one you can have, but I need to test it as it's been standing for over 6 months. Shouldn't be a problem though as it's a glass matt battery.

Went with the Yuasa in the end,

Fingers crossed she holds up.

Then again...the one I've just removed was near on 6 years old!
