Nowt to the bike but went to JHP this afternoon for a cup of tea and a chat to see when their 1299 demo is in. Apparently it will be here before the end of the month.
Still came away with a helmet bag and some titanium bolts for the 748 mudguard.

Started it, warmed it up and rode it up the road and back. Put it away.
If i had had the time i could have given it a decent run today.

Went for a observed ride. Certainly making big gains from taking these lessons. Afterwards went the long way home and gave it a good thrashing! It purred!

Fitted the brake and clutch guards to the track bike.
Then started it, or tried to start it. You forget how easy life is now with fuel injection and all the computer gizmos. The Honda is proper old fasioned carbs and a choke.. Well after a few minutes of battling it purred into life, a few more minutes of tickling the choke (which is a bit of wire behind the fairing) and it was roaring like a goodun..
Really wish I could have taken the RSV out for a spin too, but the training is taking pole position at the moment.

Looks good Frankie, hides the cat nicely.
I hate how on modern bikes they never bother to hide the ugly catalytic convertors
Its almost like there stuck on as an afterthought.

Just started the beast up I still love the sound of it, need to get some air in the tyres and soon as the temp outside reaches double figures I'm going for a blast, after I've fitted the bellypan I got 4 months ago lol
I get knocked down but i get up again.

Got it properly cleaned with a coat of ACF50 for protection and got a tyre sealant done too. But now waiting for the sun to properly come out and say hello!

In the process of giving it a scrub. It's filthy.
The chain has a couple of tight spots. I'll work them out if I can but a new chain and some sprockets have been ordered.

Nah, I'll get Mike to do it. Much faster and cheaper. Afam is his preference.

That SDOC100 chain cleaner and wax is well worth the money. My chain looks and feels like new.
