This is just a short introduction to all fellow bikers and forum members.

My name is Jordan and I've worked for Bikesure Insurance Services for several years now. In that time I've worked in a number of positions including quotations, auditing and club representative. In this time I have assisted many club members obtain competitive cover. I will be having an active role on the forum to assist with any insurance related queries and ultimately helping you guys with the best possible quotations.

Bikesure (part of Adrian Flux Insurance Services) is a specialist motor/motorcycle insurance intermediary. I’m quite sure that some of you may have already heard of us.

If any members on here have any general insurance queries, I'll be more than happy to try and help. Any advice will be totally impartial so please do not feel that I will be bias towards Adrian Flux / Bikesure.

Some of you may already have a policy through Adrian Flux / Bikesure. If this is the case, I'm here to assist with your existing policy as well. Any enquires, just give me a shout and I will have the matter looked into for you. A quick PM to me will surely be more convenient than having to make a phone call. If it is a more complex issue, don't worry, we will call you back when it's convenient with you.

If you would like a quotation from us, I will have someone call you with our best rate. Hopefully the best you'll get! I have no intention of being on this forum to "drum-up business". I will not be pushing you to contact us for a quotation or attempt to force the company on you. If you would like a quotation, I will help. It's that simple.

A few of us here at Adrian Flux / Bikesure are bikers and so we know that insurance is far from being the most exciting aspect of owning a bike. Hopefully we can save you some time and money on your insurance, which can be spent on your pride and joy!

Anyway, that's me and what I hope to be able to do for everyone.

Feel free to PM me on any insurance matters - You know where I am!

Kind regards,

Jordan

Hi,

We are based just outside King's Lynn, Norfolk.

I unfortunately had to 'hang up my gloves' so to speak as I suffer with Sciatica in my back so I find it too uncomfortable to ride as it sets it off. Although I'm still enthusiastic about bikes!

If I can be of any assistance then please feel free to drop me a PM.

Kind regards,
Jordan

Hi welcome to the site, I don't mean to offend in anyway but the sync in me has got to ask. What entitles us total strangers, who for all you know could be very high inusrance risks to a huge 25% discount just because we are members of a forum ?

And for clarity what is the 25% discounted from ? Our renewal premium ? The best quote on a comparison website ? Please explain more sounds too good to be true ?

Hi Jordan,

Welcome to the site, does the discount apply to existing bikesure customers ???

I've already got my insurance with bikesure as they took a different angle to most on my bike. It's a modified bike, which others where penalising me for. The agent at bike sure spent some time calling up brokers and found out that installing it as a custom build was much cheaper than as a modified bike. Last year I couldn't find anyone who could beat the renewal quote.

Hi,

Thanks for the warm welcome!

It applies to all customers, new and old. You just need to mention at Renewal that you are a member of TankSlap and we can add the owners club/forum discount.

Hi Blade,

We offer Up To 25% discount for owners club/forum members as typically members will be the ones who are enthusiasts and will look after their bike. We find that people like yourselves are the ones that go the extra mile to take care of their bikes as oppose to others who may not take the best care in the world or be that bit more careful. It's just us trying to give back to the sort of people we want to be insuring!

The club discount is up to 25%, I can't guarantee that any quote we offer will have a full 25% discount as we are an insurance broker (We work with over 40 underwriters who give different discounts) - The discount varies between underwriter however we will always try and compete with other quotes where possible.

Hi Edd1e, that's great, feel free to PM me your details and I can arrange a call back from our quotes team. If not then just mention that you are a member of Tank Slap when you call in and we can apply the club discount.

Jordan

Don't take this the wrong way Jorden, but I'm not sure I'd want my insurer having a link between my policy number and what I say and do on here.

Pros and cons Monty.

D6 will have to pay close to a grand a year because he's scared of washing his bike let alone checking it's working ok, but Blade will pay next to nothing as he spends all his time doing and undoing all the bolts to make sure they're torqued up correctly (devil)

Hi Monty,

We work with many, many clubs and forums so we've seen the best and worst - We're an insurance broker & we're human too. Many of us are car and bike enthusiasts and weren't born yesterday so we know people will enjoy their bikes. We're here to help, we aren't going to be spying on anyone! :)

As I say, if I can be of any assistance just give me a shout.

Regards,
Jordan

Thanks Jordan, I was thinking more undisclosed mods than enjoying the bike (not that I have any undisclosed mods of course)

Hi Monty,

No problem, again with regards to the modifications it is down to the individual to disclose them - if they non disclose modifications then they run the risk of not having valid insurance in the event of a claim - I'm certainly not going to spend all day checking policies! :)

First of all, welcome to TankSlap ... if you havent had the vibe already, we are a close knit site with a comman intrest and motorcycle maintanence is a priority between us
Secondly, I admire your approach when facing your paying public

My question .....
A lot of the policies ask where the bike is being kept and what safeguards we have against theft
ie Ground anchors, chains, padlocks, alarms, immobilsers etc .....

When renewing and when claiming the bike is being kept in a brick built garage, i feel we ought to be asked about that garage. I get the impression that its normally a postcode lottery but speaking personally and as well as my bike being secured, my garage (man cave) is alarmed, 4 industrial bolts on the inside and a car parked up close to stop/hinder any 'want to try there luck' individuals. My property is also in a quiet cul-de-sac and a facing neighbour has cctv which also captures my drive and garage door ... are these not factors that should be considered ?

Hi Spudda,

Thanks for the warm welcome & the feedback is appreciated!

We have a question set that is required by the insurers (We're a broker) so we have to cover the basics of where the bike is kept, and the construction of it. So as an example if you called in and we asked what security there is and you tell us it's kept in a brick built garage and has a Sold Secure Lock fitted - That may give you top discount from the insurers. However I have always said in the instance of all vehicle policies - Give us as much information as possible as we can speak to the underwriters to fight your corner. Remember as a broker we are trying to fight on your behalf so any information you feel will benefit - make sure we are aware! :)

Regards,
Jordan
