Just a quick update

She's off the steroids and has taken a little nose dive over the last few days although she looks a little perkier today.

Yesterday, she went and got her wig.
I cant believe how good it is. I was expecting some nylon, shiny, wire like helmet but this thing is a sleek, natural looking piece of art (y)

She has/had long hair and to save any more distress, she has had is all cut short today (emo)

I know it is of little consolation at the minute , but the few people I have known to have had hair loss during chemo (ladies) the hair has come back much stronger and healthier looking and one lady hers changed colour

I hope she feels a little better very soon

Just an update really

She's having good days and bad days but fortunately more good than bad. She has major ulcers and her hair is starting to fall out now but we knew this was all part of the chemo.

Apart from that everything else is fine. Next treatment is on the 4th of February which will be number 2 of 6.

Cheers Spudda. Good luck to her and I'm sure your spoiling her.

I'm over seeing my mum and dad in March if you fancy a beer and a chat. I suppose not much will change until you've celebrated doing 6 of 6 :)

her ulcers have all but cleared but her hair is coming out in clumps

we're off to a 40th Sunday night which most of her friends will be there, so it'll be a distraction for a few hours

I went to the gym this morning and came back to find her sat on the bed, looking in the mirror, sobbing. She'd had a shower and her hair had literally washed away :(
She didn't want to go out or do anything but after a little bit of messing with the wig,
She decided to brave it

I can't believe how natural it looks and wouldn't know unless you knew (emo)

So we've come out to this party and she looks super

All credit to her Spudda, she sounds like a tough spirit, I couldn't even imagine how hard it would be for her. I remember being quite depressed and not wanting to go out when the dressing came off my skin graft on my nose after the skin cancer removal, it was all skunken in and looked horrid. But in comparsion, it pales. Keep up the loving support and good luck to you both.

Chemo No.2 today (sweat)

The drugs they give her keep her quite perky for 7/10days and then she starts to slide

At least she knows what to expect this time round :(

I know it sounds trite and repetitive, but I'm keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. Best to you both.

Short term discomfort for long term rewards. That's the best way to look at it IMO. But I'm not the one going through it.

If you want me to babysit the Spudlets one night so you two can go out there's an open ticket for you.
