Footballers and Social Media

Post by Kwacky »

They don't mix, do they?

Robert Huth was playing a game on twitter, where you have to guess from the photo if you're looking a woman or a ladyboy. The FA have charged him with misconduct.

I can see how people could be offended by the game, but does a footballer really need to be charged for taking part?

I know what you're saying and it does go too far but I tend to feel people in the public eye like that have an obligation to their club and if not that should behave 'correctly' simply because of the scores of youngsters that follow their example! Footballers and the like charged with drink driving I find especially low.

Agreed with Andy here, at the end of the day these people are idols to youngsters...unsure exactly why though but they do look up to them and they get paid enough to act correctly anyway, it's a small ask!

I don't think you can compare driving when pissed the same as playing a silly game on twitter, but I get the point you're making.

I got 6/10 on the last round.
