Re: eBay or MCN classified
MCN is £13.99 for 6 weeks and eBay is £14.99 for 4 weeks so pretty similar on cost.
I think eBay has a bigger audience but that comes with its own problems as you attract more idtiots and time wasters.
Tbh I search both but probably always look at eBay more regular as it seems to have become the default place to sell goods. On that basis it would seem the best place to use but I don't fancy dealing with all the bullsh1t from time wasters.

I've always part ex my bikes or crash them, but sold a couple of cars on autotrader and sold them both off the online add before the magazine had been published.
I get knocked down but i get up again.

I can never be bothered with selling privately. Did it with the cbr through tankslap and Cookie bought my Daytona

I've sold both Daytona's I had on eBay and ended the auction once I sold them informally. Just put it in the advert to contact you before sale and say your open to offers. Thus avoiding some of the charges
I took a deposit on paypal and then cash on collection.
Others I've just part ex'd.

Sure ebay has charged me more than that in the past !! You get more trash on ebay as there keyboard warriors people will write anything but say little on the phone or in person you can usually tell if the person is trying to waste time when they wont pick the phone up to ring you !!

I would classified ad.
Problem with PX is you have to buy from a dealer and some of the best deals can be private sales

Re: eBay or MCN classified
This time of year though is a good time to go into a dealer and haggle if you were trading in. Honda offered me £5500 for my 2010 Daytona which I reckon I would struggle to get in a private sale.

Re: eBay or MCN classified
Fair point Andy. I have been offered £5300 px but if I sell for £5000 privately I'm confident I can talk them down £500 minimum with no PX and a straight cash deal.
I'm exploring both avenues though and hopefully a deal I like will come along soon as the decision to sell was the hard part and now that's been done I want to move on to pastures new asap, but will hold out for the right bike and right deal also.

I'm working very hard on convincing Mrs Duke how a nice Panigale would complete my collection.Blade wrote:You need to get that sorted out sharpish mate
