A few pics from my last track day (Mallory Park)

Post by steveo9913 »

Hi all, I'm new here - I bumped into a couple of guys from this forum at my last track day at Mallory Park and just got round to registering.

Thought I'd share a couple of photos from the day and see what you all think!

I'm gutted it's winter now and a long wait till the next one! ;(

If we were waiting for food then that was me and D6Nutz. We like our food.

Nice snaps. I really like that second one - you can see bits of your slider being flicked up.

Nice to speak to you again kwacky yes it was in the cafe I saw you both!

Thanks I'm glad you like the pictures, the slider being flicked up looks good, but you should see the state of it now.. I'll try and attach a pic.

How did you get on for the rest of the day that day? Got any more days planned?

I wasn't on track that day. D6Nutz and Crazypainter from here were. I think there's some video of them in this section.

No plans from me at present but some of the braver riders are still out there.

We will be doing loads next year. Some of us have the bug :)

Nice shots Steveo, you look comfortable on your CBR. Have you had her long, and did you do the track transition yourself.?

Thanks all for the warm welcome it's nice to be greeted so warmly :)

StMarks, thanks, I've had the bike some time now, it was my road bike in 2010, converted it to track use (me and a mechanic mate) in 2011 and been that way since. To be honest I've been looking to get a bigger cc bike I lose a lot down the straights being 6'3'' on this one lol

Thanks mate, yes I've been a track only rider for about 3 years now but not done much for the last 18 months or so...
Next year will hopefully change that a bit, want to try and get racing again (£ permitting of course!) before that a few track days for practice maybe go along with some people from here!

Welcome Steve, (handshake) although one of us will have to travel a long way to do a track day with the other. However, should you find yourself in the mountains of North Carolina, look me up. In the meantime, you appear to be a right fast rider, and I hope you are able to get back to racing in 2015. (y)
