I think mines under the cowl, but I'm not 100%.. I used to have it on the bike but it was usually hidden behind the fairing, couldn't do it with the new fairings so took it off. Can't say I'll miss the tax disc, but I can see the argument that there will be a lot more people dodging paying now.

Got mine still .... the holder is attached to my rear foot peg hole and without it, the hole is exposed .... I'm sure their was a dog bone shape cover for the 675 rear foot peg holes ....

Blanking plates? Is that what you mean? They do them for the 675.

Yeah at stupid money... I think people were hitting B&Q and buying some sort of grommet to fit the holes.

Disc never fitted to mine, kept in my pocket. Tiger has one fitted to the front legs I think, either way that's coming off.

The old 675 always had one of those tube holders inside the fairing which was quite unobtrusive and I had no issues with scrotes wanting to take it the Tiger one is still pinned to my cork board in the kitchen where it's been since they posted it to me earlier this year, the holder is shortly being removed from the fork leg as well.

It probably will increase tax dodgers, but only a minority, I'd guess it's been costed out whereby the amount of offenders caught with no tax via a lack of displayed tax disc (any non ANPR found offence) is smaller than the actual cost of producing and distributing tax discs. It gotten to the point where it's not a viable means of finding offenders I suppose. I expect a rise in ANPR cameras on main routes may be coming soon.

We had a tax anpr car drive down my road last week. I think they'll be proactive in trying to detect tax dodgers. A few cars drivinga round main cities and towns will catch plenty of people. Certainly far more than visual inspections.

It won't be long before they try to justify permanent ANPR cameras. It's another example where they can cut costs by replacing a few more coppers with some cameras..
