Awesome!! I'm still hanging to get out on mine! 12 Oct seems so far away!D6Nutz wrote:Well the eBay bike was as good as the auction described.
Nothing to do to it apart from chuck some fuel in, stick the tyre warmers on, and thrash the crap out of it.
All being well the guy should be delivering it on Thursday. Going to have to do some evening shifts in the shed to make space for it.

Re: Track bike
When it's delivered, could you get some info on the dash please.
I have a mate with the same bike here in OZ but he hasn't ridden it since a big high side at Phillip Island where he fractured his collar bone. From memory, he went down a gear instead of up (race pattern rearsets) and apart from kissing the tarmac, buzzed the tacho and now its toast.
it would be nice to source another tacho and get the ol' girl going again.
What's more, he's a fast rider. First track day he'd ever ridden it and with wrong gearing that was topping out half way down the straight, my mate was in the 1:54's at P.I.. I'm not slow but I can only just break into the sub 2's on a 675.

Re: Track bike
The track banana has landed.
I'll have a look at the dash over the weekend. The seller has all the original paperwork for it so should be able to tell you anything about it.
Happy days.

Looks good! Got a track date lined up?
Btw, you know you'll have to leave an Italian/English dictionary in that shed don't you? Or even an Italian/Japanese one! Lol

Re: Track bike
Nothing yet, I'm seriously considering Brands Hatch early next month, depends on cash flow and the weather. It would be nice to try the bike out this year.Deegee wrote:Looks good! Got a track date lined up?

Re: Track bike
I've had a bit of a look round the dash today, it looks like it's a custom made job. very well done though. At a guess I would say the temperature guage is standard, the lights are probably just driven of the standard wiring too. The tacho however comes from these people http://www.scitsu.co.uk/docs/features.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Mine is the basic version with the rechargable battery, it seems to work well I've just got to remember to charge it up before a track day.wazza675 wrote:When it's delivered, could you get some info on the dash please. .
