Went to Dom's at 5:00 and they were closed. He used to stay open late on a Tuesday. I had to stop anyway as the alarm I had set on my phone was going off and vibrating in my pocket. Riding through Bredenbury I thought it was a phone call and maybe the Mrs calling with an emergency but it didn't stop so I carried on regardless.

And, ooh look at us, we ride two abreast and we don't stop for traffic lights and you're not allowed to overtake us. Kn0bs.

I have a mate in Pembrokeshire. He and his mates wanted to start a motorcycle club. They had to pass it by the local chapter. FFS!

A mate of mine overtook one on the Meriden mile years ago. When they got to the island the Harley man said "don't do that again" and punched him through the gap in his helmet. Pr1ck

That explains why some Harley riders tried to give chase when I overtook a bunch near Raglan. I didn't realise that's a 'thing'

They'll have to have turned back though, to go and pick up the bits that had rattled off their bikes :D

Went to Dom's this afternoon. While queuing for a cup of tea I got talking to another bloke. He got his drink first and sat down at a table. I got my drink and joined him. We got talking a bit more and it turns out we were at school together 50 miles away. We knew who each other was as soon as we mentioned school. I haven't seen him for nearly 48 years! He lives not far from me now.

Stuck behind this lot in my car near Hay on Wye today, and yes one of them stopped the traffic at a junction. Not all of them were Harley's.

A good few years ago (probably around 20y+ ) I came up behind a bunch just like that. I had never seen anything like it, and was astounded that people could be so ignorant.
I just thought "duck this" and blatted straight down between them (may have even clipped one or two as I went through) & then carried on my merry way.
One of them made a half decent attempt to follow me, but even he didn't come back into my rearview after a nice tight corner.

On a similar vein, I came across a little bikeshow today, "The Distinguished Gentlemans Ride". Around 100+ bikes including a few tasty classics, some well created bobbers (a cracking Steampunk style one) together with a lot of Hogs & Streetbikes.

Today I washed all the dead bugs off it after yesterday's 310 mile and 13 hour ride to the lakes and North Yorkshire, it's splat time of year.

We found a nice place for lunch in the middle of no signal nowhere.
