She was never interested at all, I’ve been asking her for the last few years if she want to come out and she always turned me down. Dunno what shifted but last swing at work she messaged to say she wanted to come out. Now she has she loves it. And with the intercom between us after a few minutes she starts chatting to me about everything like she would never when we are at home. Told me all about her plans she has for post school, the degree she thinks she might do, the type of apartment she wants to live in, stuff about school and friends, the works. All the while giving me a constant hug (ok she’s holding on for dear life (lol) ) and giggling when we open up or drop it deep into a corner.

Definitely will become some quality father:daughter time this summer I think. (inlove)

Had mine in for a service this week, can't believe I forgot to MOT it.... Ops.... only two months without it. So while mine was in for its pampering, I had the big GS A out for a spin, and later on the R Nine T as I could not get the bike back the same day. I asked for something smaller.

The GSA is way to big for the man cave, I want more than one bike in there lol.... But it just reminded me why I really dont get on with big bikes like this, horrible gear change from 1st to 2nd, still don't like the engine, ok it is more refined than it was, but nah not for me. Dont get me wrong, it is a capable machine, but not for me.
So the R Nie T scrambler, nah even worse lol..... not the refined engine on this yet, give it too much wellie and the pistons bang back and forth that much it almost rips the bars out of your hands if you are not ready for it.
Glad to have mine back to be honest :) another year on this I think at the very least.
Bloody oil is so expensive now, had to get some for the car the other and almost fell over with the cost.

PS >>> Also on the GSA I could not get the screen in a position where i was not getting horrible wind noise.... was driving me mad.

The cover is knackered so it was getting really wet under it in the patio.

I felt so sorry for the bike that I've moved the entire office about so it can come and sit with me.

Note to self, after a year of having the shed I really must get round to painting it! ImageImage

It looks cosy there, I think you should get a nice mat for it and let it stay permanently. :)

I've got to go in to work tomorrow so I've had to dig out the winter clothing.

A dull and boring ride in to work. But at least I was relatively warm.

Had a spirited ride down to Wiltshire, messed about on B roads mainly, that cleared the cobwebs. That was a quick tank of fuel gone lol

I’ve been out too. First ride for a month after being away and it’s like a late summer’s day rather than mid November. Bloody brilliant.

I love motorbikes, me!😁

Kept my neighbour company on his new bike day, a ride down to Nottingham for him to pick up his brand new S1000xr and home again, I got him off the motorway and down some back roads near home. Then we fitted a MRA screen and some crash protection.

That's 2 friends riding S1000xr Triple Black's now.

Escaping the fog, we met at Skipton and headed up towards Cumbria where the forecast was sunny and soon were enjoying 15°c and dry roads by Devil's Bridge / Kirkby Lonsdale and on the back roads up to the A6 through Shap at speeds my little XR has never seen before :x but with Sergio's 1000XR pulling away, with his wife on the back.

After pulling over to wait for the guy on the KTM 1290 (giggle) and finding him a petrol station with Super we continued to The Nook café near Alston, via the view point where Heartside Café used to be, that road is lots of fun and I got into a bit of sport with a Tracer 900, both bikes are about equal on such a tight road his HP advantage v my torque advantage and Brembo stoppers. No KTM in the picture as he rode straight past us (gah)

After a fuel stop in Alston we headed for Barnard Castle for an eye test (devil) and found the fog again, and it was getting dark so A66 > A1m and home... I still would like a more comfortable perch for big miles but a great day was had by all.

I took the SX out for a couple of hours. What started off as a cold ride turned in to a cold and wet rude.

I stayed out for a couple of hours though.

A cold ride in to work this morning. There was an amber warning on the dash. First time I've seen that.

I would change my plugs annually on the bike, when I bought my first car I was shocked that they practically never need changing!

Pulled it out and washed it, topped up the ACF-50 and changed the seat for a less fancy looking but hopefully more comfortable perch... Hopefully I will get it out tomorrow and go for a blast to see how that goes. It was a BMW high comfort seat but the previous owner had 20mm of foam removed and the gel pad put back making it about standard hight with a wider/flatter seat, I picked it up on ebay for £85 so it's worth a try.
