started on the wiring ,I am using a lithuim ion battery and have mounted it between the swing arm and engine to keep it out of the way
The box it came in weighed more than the battery ,I had to buy a special rectifier so the charge doesnt melt and set fire to it
I decided to bin the the original loom and build my own lightweight loom wired through a module that has in built trip switches so no need for fuses and much neater
I got it powered up last night which was a relief so I can now start plotting out wires and wiring the handlebar switches.I am putting it all in a tray under the seat that I made from ally to keep it neat and tidy and out of sight
I have also decided to go keyless and wire in an RFID module 8-|

Impressive mate, that's a massive undertaking but the way you go, you'll have it done in a night (lol)

slow on the updates I am buried in work at the moment
The wiring is 95% complete and it turns over ,I fitted a set of beautiful Mikuni "murrays carbs" they are like jewels (inlove)
I have fitted an LED headlight 110 dba horn (devil) and quick action throttle, chemically cleaned inside the tank and fitted very short mega phone exhausts
I am not sure what to do about a gauge but want something small and discreet
When the tank is dry I will rinse it with petrol ,wire the igniters and coils fire it up with my fingers firmly crossed ,then do a oil and fluid change

I’d still be running through what I wanted to do in my head, and having to research everything.

Perks shows your trade skills that you can just punch through this with confidence and speed. Totally in awe!

A hole in the petrol tank after chemically cleaning it stopped play
I have sealed it with rustbuster tank sealer that needs to set for a week
Jobs left to do ,fit speedo sensor cable, fit rev counter cable, make a number plate bracket ,fit fuel tap and run petrol through the carbs, shorten clutch cable, mot it

You didn't used to need one but I don't know if it's changed.

You do need mudguards for it to be road legal though.

I will fab up a rear tyre hugging wrap around mudguard and fit the no plate to it,I asked Dave wood what bike mot requirements are ,he said it's fairly loose but if its fitted it has to work and not be broken
If it's not fitted you cant check it so it's a pass ,I will check again though
I want the bike as clutter free as possible but a rear mudguard should look ok
